East Station Art Gallery

The East Station Art Gallery, in Beijing China,  was done in collaboration with Naihan Li, Andy Lee and Connor Wingfield. East Station art gallery has a total area of 950m² which we divided into 3 galleries. The project consists of 3 double height (8 meter tall) galleries which sequence, from small to large as the visitor circulates through the exhibition.  The 3 galleries are divided by the supporting functions required for successful administration of the space.  The ground floor circulation is directed by the volumes that house the gallery storage and reception functions. In addition to the supporting first floor functions, a second floor has been added to provide office space and a v.i.p lounge and presentation center.  The second floor dictates the sequences between single and double height space as the visitor moves from gallery to gallery.
